Secluded Study
The following was part of a group project. Here I have included the parts I participated in. Our end goal was to create an idea and wireframe for an app that would solve the problem of finding a place to study on campus.
Step 1: Conducting interviews
1. When looking for a place to study on campus approximately how long does it take to find a spot that fits your needs (e.g., large enough table, has a plug nearby)? Why do you think it takes you this amount of time?
2. Describe how finals week or big test weeks affect this spot?
3. When the places you usually go are taken how do you find a new spot?
4. If an app existed that showed you what tables were open at each building, but you had to participate by marking your table as “in use” would you use it?
5. If an app existed that showed you an approximate number of how many people were studying in each building without having to participate, but by using your GPS location would you use it? Why or why not?
6. Do you have any ideas for what features you would want in an app that helped solve this problem?

User Stories
Application Users
As an Application User, finding a great space to study in a short amount of time is vital. I want to see all the options laid out in a clear and concise way, and I want to be able to filter those options.
As an Application User, I want to be able to see the floor plans of all the study spots on campus. I want these floor plans to clearly show where tables, plugs, restaurants, and bathrooms are for my convenience.
As an Occasional Application User, I want to be able to use the system without being a constant participant, but only tuning in when I need its services.
Application Admin
As an Admin, I want to be able to clearly see what components we have already added to the floor plan so I am able to quickly narrow down what elements need to be added.
As an Admin, I want to be able to see how happy users are with the accuracy our service is currently providing. If the service does not have a high accuracy rating it will need improvement.
